What began as a family dairy farm in the rolling countryside of Chester County has grown into one of Pennsylvania’s most celebrated public golf destinations. The land that is now Wyncote Golf Club was once home to the Pepple family farm, a sprawling property cared for and cultivated by generations who understood the value of hard work, stewardship, and community.

In the late 1980s, Jim and Sandy Pepple envisioned transforming a portion of their farmland into something truly special — a golf course that would honor the natural beauty of the land while welcoming players from near and far. Partnering with renowned architect Brian Ault, they created a links-style masterpiece that captured the spirit of golf’s origins in Scotland and Ireland while preserving the open fields and rolling contours that defined their home.

When Wyncote opened in 1993, it immediately stood out for its authentic design, pristine conditions, and family-driven hospitality. Three decades later, it remains proudly family-owned and operated, guided by the same principles that shaped its beginning — respect for the land, dedication to quality, and a genuine love for bringing people together.
